The past month has been an exciting one for Web-lingo.
Some of this month’s projects include:
- Publishing: Translation and Proofreading of Learner and Teacher Guides for Grades 7, 8, 9 from English into Afrikaans. Approximately 300 000 words translated straight into InDesign files. Client saved more than 30% on repetitions.

- Online Training: Translation and Proofreading of training manuals for the Hospitality industry from English into French, Spanish, Portuguese and Mandarin. Approximately 300 000 words were translated and proofread in 18 days, employing a team of eight linguists.
- Media: Translation of Belgian Newspaper articles from Flemish into English for 360 days a year involving one Project Manager and one translator.

- Legal: Translation of Regulations from Spanish into English. Approximately 20 000 words were translated in 20 days, employing one Project Manager and one translator.

Language profile campaign
This month we kick off our languages campaign via our new blog, Facebook and Twitter. We’ll explore all the languages we cover on a weekly basis, starting with Afrikaans in the two weeks of October. We’ll also be chatting to some of our foremost translators about their experiences working for us and take a deeper look at Google translate and the effect it has on translation and grammar specifically.
