Sesotho: Lesotho vs RSA

A little bit of insight from some of our Sesotho experts.

When translating into Sesotho, especially for the Mining industry, there are a few differences between the Sesotho spoken by the Basotho people from Lesotho and the Sesotho spoken by RSA-located speakers.

There are two main reasons for this: the orthography (script) used by RSA Sesotho speakers differs from the orthography used in Lesotho and the terminology is also slightly different. This underlines why it is imperative to only work with linguists based in the region of your required locale. This is where the content will be distributed and it ensures the terminology and linguistic style used is both current and accurate.
